Daniel Bennett is an Australian multidisciplinary artist known for his bold, intricate line-work, raw storytelling, and deep roots in underground art scenes.

Originally from Broken Hill, Daniel’s obsession with drawing began in childhood and never let go. After studying at the Australian Cartoon School and pursuing Graphic Design in Queensland, he balanced a decade of creative output with a music career that saw him playing in bands supporting international acts and landing adult film soundtracks.

Following the end of that chapter, he moved to Japan — a turning point that profoundly shaped his visual language. Immersed in Japanese culture and design, Daniel’s art evolved into densely detailed, expressive work with a love for line-driven storytelling. On returning to Australia, he became an active figure in the global urban art scene, working under the name Shiroi Usagi (white rabbit), painting murals, exhibiting internationally, and leaving his mark through stickers, posters, and shirt designs seen around the world.

He has contributed to the Guinness World Record–holding comic book project for most artists in a single publication, and for nearly 20 years has worked as a signwriter and commercial graphic designer — with his art seen by thousands daily, often without people knowing his name.

In 2023, he completed a degree in Fine Art and Art History, and continues to balance art-making with life as a full-time solo parent. His work is a reflection of lived experience — gritty, honest, and endlessly creative.
